Sometimes, I just love to relax and cook at home. I think I have I down to a science. Minimal dishes to wash. Food is already in a storage container should I get full soon. And everything is portioned out to be around 650 calories. Takes less than 20 minutes, really.

This weekend didn't have the most healthy dining choices. For example, on saturday, I had double double animal style with animal style fries. Then I had a corndog. And then, luckily, I made some pasta for dinner. No exercise, except for a lot of walking around.

Sunday, I had brunch with my best friends Ryan, Dan and Ale. Despite the long wait, the waitresses were really nice. I had fish and chips, again, not a healthy choice. I did however, cook my own chicken wings, but they weren't crispy, at least the way i like it. I should stick to pasta. My folks tried it and liked it, but I know what I like. I used teriyaki sauce, sugar and cognac to coat the wings. They tasted well, but eh, I've had better. I'll leave them in longer, despite a little burntness to get them crispy.

Today, I had a salad, with some shrimp. I plan to run tonight, despite being exhausted. I'm trying to psyche myself up a bit. I'm going to make some veggies and carne asada and eat it with rice. I've been pretty good about avoiding eating out as much as possible...2 weeks so far!

Edit: I actually had taco bell, boo.

Despite, a few outside foods, I've lost 4 lbs. I'm at 168 now! Woohoo. I credit it to eatin salads during lunch, making pasta and rice dishes for dinner! I only ran twice last week, but it seems to be working. I also don't eat late at night any more. Tangerines help curb the sugar habit too.

I'll weigh myself again on Friday of this week and see where I am!

Today, I felt tired again. Probably because of the allergies that blocked my sinus. Anyways, today's going to be a good start again. Yesterday, i got to run a bit. Today, I'm heading to the gym at UCSF and then going to go finish setting up lab later tonight. It's annoying that the last class ends at 6pm, giving me only 12 hours to setup Thursday's lab. But if that allows more students to enroll and eventually graduate, I'm all for it.

I had a groggy start this morning, decided to take a break from research and get some much needed items like a water boiler. Daiso didn't have any so I want to Target to pick one up for 19.99. Woohoo! Now I don't have to travel so far just to make coffee. Picked up a salad at Burger King and then had some shrimp to go with it. Did some work via email. I can't wait to do some running with Ryan today and lift a bit. I'll try to do some ab work tonight, in between some pre-mcat course studying. Maybe another page of my thesis. Doing this blog has been helping me keep on track!

After running 3.05 miles ( yes, that little bit counts), I made some chicken apple Chardonnay sausage with some pasta. Man, Trader Ciotto's arribiato sauce is awesome. Couple that with wheat pasta, and you've got a really fillin meal. I was light on the meat so I was really full. See for yourself

Apparently, the labs from clinic show that I have high chloesterol. That blows, but again this was taken before I was running a whole lot. But it still doesn't excuse the fact that i was starving myself during lunch and continuing a high calorie dinner. This week starts the beginning of healthy eating habits, like cooking more at home. Maintaining my execise routine. Less snacking at night. Let's see how far I can get.

Got home from class and had frozen turkey meatballs, rice and greenbeans and carrots as starting ingredients.

For a quick meal, and mostly from trader joes ( I got the meatballs from costco), this turned out well! Cooked the veggies in olive oil, pepper, italian seasoning.

I'm thinking pasta tomorrow's dinner.
